With a blade made of 14C28N steel from Sweden, the Pocket Peak Fixed is the perfect knife for precise, delicate cuts. The 14C28N steel by Sanvik® is very easy to sharpen and holds an edge well. The hardness and robustness of the steel means that it can also be used for minor woodwork and other light jobs. 14C28N was specially developed for hunting knives, fishing knives, and pocketknives as well as for kitchen knives. A stainless steel with extremely good edge retention, it can be hardened to 62 on the Rockwell scale and has very good rust resistance. 14C28N is a very hard steel that is nevertheless easy to sharpen. Unlike many similar steels, 14C28N does not tend to microchip at this hardness. It is also very robust in terms of lateral loads, which means that the cutting edge does not tend to roll.
